FAQ

The ReShade Manager application is marked as harmful software by Windows Smart Screen. Why is that? The application is flagged by Smart Screen, because it isn't signed with a certificate. Certificates are very expensive and I can't afford one. This however does not mean that the application is dangerous in any form. I can guarantee that using the application is completely safe. Feel free to run a virus scan if you are unsure.
My game is crashing immediately after startup. What can I do? If possible, try to switch your game's graphics API to DirectX 11 or OpenGL, as ReShade's support for DirectX 12 and Vulkan is still experimental.
I often lose keyboard and/or mouse controls in Origin (EA) games. How can I prevent this? You should disable the Origin in-game overlay through your Origin settings.
How can I customize ReShade settings and key bindings? You can edit ReShade settings and key bindings through the ReShade GUI (press Pos1 / Home).
I've installed ReShade to a game with ReShade Manager and I want to take screenshots. How can I do this and where are my screenshots saved? You can take screenshots with the Print Screen key on your keyboard. All the screenshots are saved as .png files to a directory called "My Screenshots" inside your ReShade Manager installation directory.
Is it safe to use ReShade in multiplayer games? There is no clear answer on this one. All singleplayer games and nearly all multiplayer games allow the use of ReShade. However, you should be cautious when using ReShade online, as externally modifying the game graphics could be a bannable offense per your game's policy.
